OCTOPUS MK2 selftailing system

The OCTOPUS MK2 convert the winch to selftailing by adding a top piece with nail and rope derailleur and a retaining plate, transforming into a selftailing winch with automatic rope ejection.

Take advantage of the thrust of the rope turns to compress the last lap against the retaining collar.

This system prevents the friction of the rope against the tab, usual in standard selftailing winches, and does not brake the rope during crank operation.

Octopus MK2 is compatible with certain winches models that allow the internal machining required for installation.
